AR Sync Remote Connector GAL untrusted domains, network Remote Connector02

I need to sync ad objects (users and groups) between two and domains AD1 - AD2 (GAL sync: users to contacts, DL to DL) "company merge scenario".

Remote Connector - I plan to utilize the option.

1) Trust between domains: is it required with Remote Connector scenario? (I guess No?).

2) Network/Ports is required. Both domains must reach each other via Network with customer defined Port to be open. AD1/ARSyncService01 to talk to IP of AD2/Remote Connector02? (I guess)

I would like to confirm (with support). Than you!

2) Network connectivity over port 8080 is the standard

3) Password Sync. I also can use Remote Connector to send captured passwords AD1/DC01/Capture Agent --> AD1/ARSyncService01 --> network/port8080 --> AD2/RemoteConnector02 --> AD2/DC02. I guess it is possible, is it?
