Hello all,

I hope  your are fine ;)

In this video we can see a icon on Active Roles Self Service to Password Manager.

But I can't find where I can to configure self-service to allow the user to reset their password?

Please somebody can help me?

Thanks a lot,

  • There are two ways you can approach this:

    1) Password Manager as shown in the video is a separate One Identity product that provides a sophisticated mechanism for allowing users to manage their own passwords.  It has an enrollment process, security questions, two factor authentication capability as well as very advanced customization capabilities.

    2) Another simple option is to create a custom form within the Web UI within which you could delegate users ("Self" in Active Roles Trustee terms) the ability to reset their password.  It could be just another tab in the "Self Service" user interface shown in the video - i.e. where they are talking about allowing users to update specific properties.  Suggest you consult the Web Interface Administration Guide on how to modify the Web UI.  As I mentioned, the delegation side would be matter of creating an Access Template (or you could probably use the built-in password reset one) and granting the Trustee "Self" the permissions contained there.
