I am aware of the peculiarity with the 'Name' attribute and the web GUI (https://support.oneidentity.com/kb/4221081/when-creating-a-new-object-such-as-an-ou-or-user-in-the-web-interface-a-dummy-cn-temporarycn-name-is-generated) that advises against using the 'cn'.
The 'Name' attribute must appear in the web interface form.
Is it possible to directly apply an AR policy with default values to the 'Name' attribute?
When I create one and load the attribute into the form, I do not see the info icon next to the attribute, so no policy is applied when the form is started. However, if I switch the attribute to 'cn', the policy is applied.
Is there a technical way to apply the following directly to the 'Name' attribute?
I would like to apply
- must be specified
- must be value: Default > %ou.ou_xxx_ & %ou.ou_xxx_{*}
What works is using a diffrent Attribute which than apply to name for example
%<givenName> %<sn>
and givenname/sn are shown in Web Interface
User can edit this attributes and name is filled based on this rule
