v8 - Employee (Role Based) authentication not working

Hello Experts,

We have upgraded a v7 environment to v8. After doing so, I'm unable to launch the fat tools (e.g. object browser) using employee authentication. System user works fine as before, but everytime I try Employee (Role based), I get an error "Wrong Username or password". I've checked the authentication module is enabled in designer.

Any ideas why employee (role based) might not work?
