Updating custom configuration parameters

Hello. I was wondering if it was possible to change the values in a custom configuration parameter. I would like to utilize a global value as a counter, but need to change the value.

I know I can use Connection.GetConfigParm("Custom\group\var") to store the value, but I can't figure out how to write back to it.

I'm on version 7.1.1.

The configuration parameters are stored in the table DialogConfigParm and you can use the standard object layer to change its content.
