issue when re-install the job server

Hi Experts,

I just try to upgrade my identity manager 7.1.2 to 7.1.3 (my own test machine,not production server)

1:update schema  done

2.open Manager and update ,done.

3,open the job queue infor  -found that :"unable to connect the server" in Jobserver

4.so I think need to re-install the job server, then I open "serverinstaller.exe" and run.after selected the installation source,key in service account credential. the installation progress runs,then pop up an error " Error occurred The specified service does not exists as an installed service " -------- I can't install the job server ,what can I do now ?Pls help .

  • I think this is the result from your first attempt with the Service Installer.

    What I would do

    • Save the JobService.cfg file from the existing installation directory to a save place.
    • Uninstall One Identity Manager with Add/Remove Programs from the control panel of Windows.
    • Re-Install One Identity Manager (Service and additional client stuff you had installed before).
    • Copy your saved JobService.cfg to the installation directory. 
    • Re-Configure you service account for the fresh installed One Identity Manager service (if necessary).

    If that doesn't help, contact support.

  • thanks Markus, remove the one identity manager in control panel ,and install it again ,then works.I can get the job server status in Job queue infor now,thanks
