Database CPU requirements to use SAP functions

Hi all,

I imported 2 SAP functions using the plugin called "Import SAP functions definition" from a CSV file with 70 rows. After that I created the correspondent SAP function instances but I can see on JobQueueInfo that the DB processes "Interim calculation of the transaction codes to functions relation" that I assume it calculates which SAP groups and employees are involved takes too long.

I don't have any other performance problem and I want to know if someone that have imported SAP functions have faced this problem before.

First, in which version do you seeing the long-running tasks?

But anyway, yes these tasks may take some time as they pre-calculate some of the necessary data to determine if an SAP role/profile is hitting an SAP function instance.

Ok, I have done the same lately in my 8.1 environment and can confirm that these tasks take some time.

Thanks, I also see in the system journal some warnings like this one: "Dead slot resetted; number= 1, type = DeadTest, Task = <none>, code = 2."

Is this normal as well?

We had the same problem of "Interim calculation of the transaction codes to functions relation" taking ages and reseting on 8.1.1 (likely not fixed in 8.1.2).

We did receive Hotfix HF32805 which improved the situation dramaticaly. I suggest contacting support and ask for that fix.
