Rule Violation Exception Approval Attestation

you can configure a max. valid days at your compliance rule. If so, every exception stored in PersonInNonCompliance gets valid until set based on the date of the decision made + max. valid days. There is also an ootb schedule called "Reset exception approval of compliance rule violations" that would trigger the reset of exception approvals whose validity period has expired.

Would that solve your use-case as well?

Sounds like it would be what I'm looking for... Just to confirm - when max valid days has expired, it won't just deny the exception?  Would it then be the exception approver how has to attest the violation? What is the point of having an attestor column on the compliance rule?

The violation would then go back to the state of "undecided" and the exception approver has to decide again for this violation.

The attestor column at the compliance rule is meant for approving the definition of the compliance rule itself and not for the violations.
