Connect to MS SQL with AD account

Hello everyone.

I have silly question (not find any clue in doc's) - how to connect to MS SQL with AD credentials ?

JobService running as "Local System" in AD named domainA. MS SQL server run in AD named domainB and granted rights for special account domB\oneidm.

When i try to create synchronization project using domB\oneidm or oneidm@domB.com for connecting to SQL server:

red exclamation marks apear near "user"/"password" fields and can't  select any database.

there is no problem at the network or db level.

if specify sql server account for connecting every is fine.

Best regards

  • Sorry, but which connector are you referring to? I assume the native MSSQL connector? Which version are you using?

  • "Native Database Connector", then "SQL Server" (on "Select database system")

  • Use Native Database Connector
    One Identity Manager Edition 8.1.3.102

    rely on thread:
    www.oneidentity.com/.../sql-connection-as-domain-service-account-8-1-2
i should be use sql server login or run JobService with account domB\oneidm

strange behavior on the forum - could not answer, had to use another account

  • Did you notice that in the mentioned thread, the last post explains that the option shown is for Azure AD only?

For Windows Integrated authentication you need to check the Windows Authentication checkbox.
