Upgrade SQL server from 2016 to 2019

We have recently upgraded One IM from 8.1.1. to 8.1.4 - it is up and running successfully. Now, we are planning to upgrade SQL server from 2016 to 2019. Please let me know the steps which needs to be followed in One IM in order to connect to new SQL server. Also, do we need to run the "Update database" again for updating the schema ?
