Unable to Encrypt configuration parameter.

Hi All,

I am creating a new configuration parameter to save an account password, but I am not able to enable the Encrypted check box present for the configuration parameter. The database encryption is also on.

we are using version 8.2 and launching the Launchpad using viadmin account(admin account) hoping viadmin would have all the required access.

I see for few existing configuration parameters the encryption check box is already checked in. 

Basically, I am trying to find a workaround to enable the Encrypted check box present for a configuration parameter.

    The length of the column you want to encrypt should also be 990 or more characters. In one of the version 8.X was the length of the encrypted columns increased.
    I checked the release notes; it was version 9.1 where the length of the columns was extended but the gist of the argument remains, you need a minimum column length if you want to flag a column as encrypted.
