Exchanging product to another shop

Hello, we have a client who currently needs to restructure their IT shop to limit access to some products. However, when moving some products between shelves in different stores, all requests for these already assigned products and pending orders were canceled. We took a look at the documentation, and it seems to be the correct behavior, but we need a way to make these movements without canceling the orders. Could you help us with this issue?

This solution doesn't work for us because we need to restrict access to the product, and for that, the client wants to move the products to another shopping.

  • Hi Nickolas,

If the product is being moved from one shelf to another in a different Shop, and the assigned user IS a member of the latter shop, then it will work.

If the product is being moved from one shelf to another in a different Shop, and the assigned user IS NOT a member of the latter, then it will NOT work.

As the documentation states, "One Identity Manager checks whether the request recipient and the product belong to the same shop after relocating."

But it is also dependent on the "retain service item assignment on relocation" option.

  • Hello Trevor, thank you very much for the response!

We checked with the client, and they had already placed the members in the new shopping center, and the option you mentioned was enabled.

The shopping center was created, then the shopping, followed by the customer, then the shelf, and after these steps, the move was made, after that all the requests were canceled
