Attribute for populating Manager in SAP connector

Hi Simran,

in an uncustomized Netweaver 7.5 or S/4 HANA 1809 - 2023 installation manager relations are possible to build in HCM module (Employee) or in Businesspartner area. Where is the manager relation  shown in SAP GUI? What kind of SAP system installation you have (have a look at menu point "System -> Status - >Navigation button in SAP GUI)?

Hi Tino, 

We have multiple SAP systems including SAP GRC, SAP BW, SAP FIORI. We are not connecting to the HANA/Netweaver module.

We have integrated the SAP systems using SAP connector, do you think that adding additional authorizations on the service account will allow us to view user's manager field. As demonstrated  by our client, in SAP, this attribute is called 'MANAGER_ID'

Well they showed us a table called 'GRACUSER'.

It had USER_ID,FIRST_NAME,LAST_NAME,MANAGER_ID

OK, this is a table storing information from GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance). Each User exists exactly once in this table, so USER_ID is a key field. You are able to create a schema extension in SAP Connector schema and read this table as new schema type. This will allow you to create another mapping and workflow step to read the manager relation. SAP admin has to allow the read operation on this table before. simran kareer  just to add - this is just the "read" of the GRACUSER part. I don't know if there is a RFC enabled BAPI available for GRACUser to actually write data.
