Did 1IM updating their auth towards EXO & Azure module?

Hi Team,

Version: 9.0 LTS

As per the article here: Update on MFA requirements for Azure sign-in - Microsoft Community Hub Microsoft will be enforcing MFA on all accounts in the near-ish future

No immediate need to action but the service accounts used for the O365/Azure connector and custom scripts will need to be updated to use a different authentication process

Should I move towards Cert based auth to connect to EXO & Azure in custom scripts?

Does 1IM recommend any hotfix for updating auth in EXO & Azure sync project?

I am planning to open a support case but want to check here before raising support ticket.

You should use a service principal (=application authentication) instead of a user account (delegated authentication). The steps to configure this should be part of the documentation (when I am not mistaken).

Thanks for your responce.

Admin guide shows only the permission needed for service account only.

Do you have any ref link which shows how to connect to azure and EXO using service principal (=application authentication)?
