Web portal Login Issue Post-upgrade 8.2.1v to 9.0

We recently upgraded our system from version 8.2.1 to 9.0v. Post-upgrade, we are encountering login issues with the web portal, which displays an error. Although changing the password using the manager tool resolves the issue, users are unable to log in with the initial random password after a reset. Users will receive an email with the initial random password, reset it in the Exchange Admin Center, and then use it to log in to the web portal and other target systems(Its their standard to reset the password). However, this process is not working as expected but it was working before the upgrade. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Note: Authentication module is Active Directory user account(role-based).
