RAS Attributes

Hi community.

I've got a problem while creating ADS Account. I have two domains connected to Q1IM and for one domain creating users works fine. But for the second domain not. I have checked attributes mapping and it seems OK. I have also checked permissions on AD. I don't see any differences in configuration. So, where/what else should I check?

The connection mode of the provider was set to Default.

The access to RAS attributes was set with the value True.

The access to terminal properties was set with the value True.

Hi Evgen,
for the access to the RAS properties NOT the login credentials from the parameters of the job are used (LDAPLogin and LDAPLoginPassword) BUT the account which is used for the Q1IM Jobservice:
If your Jobservice is responsible for only one domain you should change this user.
But it's not possible if ONE Jobservice is responsible for more than one domain.
In this case you could find a way to permit the user from the 1st domain in the 2nd domain too.
Or install a 2nd Jobservice.
It's possible on the same machine too.

I get the same error message, but only for a single attribute. Any Idea Why?

If RAS function is not required in your AD, check below to ensure it is unchecked. Changing param requires commit/compile Q1 DB.

Hi,
could you check the following things
1. Is the Jobserver a member of the domain, in that you try to set RAS properties for users (or in a domain that is trusted)
2. Does the jobservice run with the credentials of a user that is able to set the RAS properties (credentials passed to the job are AD only unfortunately)
3. Is the jobservice able to communicate to the DC (AD) over port 389

PS: If you do not want to manage RAS properties at all, you can disable them as Jeffrey suggested. This will also speed things up.

I have the same problem (see below), but EnableRAS and TerminalProperties are already unchecked/disabled. What am I missing?

ErrorMessages = The connection mode of the provider was set to Default.

The access to RAS attributes was set with the value False.

The access to terminal properties was set with the value False.

[854003] Processing task ADSAccount Update failed.

[System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryServicesCOMException] There is no such object on the server.

It seems the problem is not in setting RAS attributes, because error "There is no such object on the server" usually means that the system could not find AD account in your Active Directory system ... First, check if user account with specific DistinguishedName exists.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I did check to confirm that the user account exists. I did discover that there was a transient network error that interrupted communication between D1IM and AD at the time of these transactions. Once connectivity between D1IM and AD was restored, I was able to restart the transactions and they executed successfully.
