Hi All,

I want to remove the front plate for HDD disk replacement, so is it better to work offline before removing it?

After removing the front plate, is there a way to check which disk has a problem?

Can I remove the front plate from SafeGuard 3000 model?

Please advice.

Hi Jaeil,

Is this for an SPP or SPS appliance?

SPP hard disk replacement is not supported, instead you would need to request an RMA

SPS hard disk replacement is supported and is hot swappable (No need to be offline to replace it) the failed disk should show an LED

The disks numbers (From Left to right) are HDD 0 | HDD 1 | HDD 2 | HDD 3

Each disk has two LEDs top indicates (HD signal) and bottom indicates (Hard drive fail), see quick reference guide here:
