Hi,
Unfortunately, we have a couple of old 2008 R2 servers. When setting this up to connect via SafeGuard, the connection fails.
I can see on the Windows Server log that the failure is because we're requesting a TLS1.2 connection and 2008 is too old/insecure to support that out of the box.
The error is: Error ID 36874 - An TLS 1.2 connection request was received from a remote client application, but none of the cipher suites supported by the client application are supported by the server. The TLS connection request has failed.
I've followed https://knowledge.digicert.com/quovadis/ssl-certificates/ssl-general-topics/how-to-enable-tls-1_2-on-windows-server-2008-r2 to try and resolve this but get the same connection error.
Any advice on how I can get this working (whilst I continue to remind the service owner this should have gone in the bin years ago)?
Thanks.
