Self service site configured incorrectly.

Open the Password Manager Admin Site.

Under General Settings, choose Realm Instances.

You will see the "Self-Service site URL" here. Is this URL accessible from your test machine?

This could be related to any number of networking issues.

Can you access the site from the machine hosting the Password Manager Service?

Can you ping the site from your test machine? Is it accessed over HTTP or HTTPS? Can you telnet to port 80 or port 443?

What is the HTTP error code that you see when you try and access it?

i can access the http://PMhost/PMAdmin from the win7 desktop, so i dont think it is the network, any thing else that i did not set for this error? thks

So, the PMUser Site is hosted on the same machine as the PMAdmin Site, and you can access PMAdmin?

When i access the http://PMhost/PMUser, the search user appears, but the moment when i click on the Questions & Answers, error message with "Access denied" appears. Does this due to access right for PM to acccess AD? Btw, the account configured at PM to access AD is only granted with "change password"? So, i got quite a few problems, access denied, "Forgot my password" on Win7 logon screen dont work, suspect the Helpdesk site also dont work. thks

This sounds like you are not meeting the minimum permissions required for the product to function.

The Service Account running the Password Manager service either needs to be a Domain Admin, or the minimum permissions guide must be followed:

hi, i have granted the permission as stated, but when i click on the "Forgot my password" on logon screen, the error message appears "One Identity Secure Password Extension is not configured properly. Please specify the URL path to the self-service site". WOuld like to seek your assistance on how to configure the extension. thks
